How does Clinical Hypnotherapy differ from Stage Hypnosis?

Clinical Hypnotherapy is a completely different thing to Stage Hypnosis. In fact, someone who practices stage hypnosis may not know the first thing about Clinical Hypnotherapy. A similar comparison would be that between a Nurse and a Brain Surgeon. They both practice medicine but require a completely different skill set.

Stage hypnotherapy is all about entertainment and exhibitionism. Those who are invited up onto the stage are screened first, and selected carefully. At some level, the people who land up on stage are exhibitionists who enjoy entertaining - that is why they put their hand up for the job. It's a show, and has no medicinal or healing value.

Clinical Hypnotherapy, on the other hand, is an ancient healing art that has been used for centuries - since Roman times - to bring about natural, organic healing and restoration of the body and mind. It is a powerful, well documented, proven natural therapy that has withstood the test of time. When used in conjunction with other modalities, such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Social Ecological  and Transformative Learning principles, it provides an extremely powerful tool that has the capacity to rewire the body and mind.

Essentially there is virtually no comparison between Clinical Hypnotherapy and Stage Hypnosis.
